Among sour splashes and fruit marcs, La Luna Rossa reminds the sour cherries eaten by our grandfathers while playing cards.
La Luna Rossa was created with an initial sour beer which underwent 2 years of mixed fermentation (lactic bacteria, brettanomycetes). Then we added cherries for at least 6 months and we blended the new beer with a small part of other beers. La Luna Rossa is an ale that can remember a Kriek or a Flemish Red Ale. It has an extraordinary complexity associated with a strong character. For lovers of this kind of beers it is certainly hard to forget.
tasting notes
Intense amber colored beer with ruby reflections, it expresses an extraordinary olfactory complexity: fruity aromas, accompanied by acetic and lactic hints, as well as nuances of oxidized malts. In the mouth it is savory, full, persistent and finishes with a magnificent and exciting acidity.
