Once again, Birrificio del Ducato conquers the podium of the World Beer Awards in London, 2022 edition, winning 5 new medals, confirming to be the most awarded Italian brewery in the world. In fact, the brewery’s medal table counts more than 110 prizes earned in national and international competitions in just 15 years of activity.
Triumphing over all is La Prima Luna beer with 2 Gold medals as the best Barley Wine in Italy and as the best beer in Italy ever. La Prima Luna is part of our line of beers called Il Tempo, which includes spontaneous fermentations and barrel-aged beers. A Barley Wine of the caliber of La Prima Luna needs a long time in bottle to harmonize: the first bottles were distributed no earlier than 10 months of aging. The current Prima Luna has undergone 5 years of aging in bottle.
On the podium of the best beers in Italy also our Belgian Tripel, Paradox, awarded with a Silver in its reference category. In achieving this important milestone, Paradox continues the long award-winning tradition of our historic Winterlude, the beer from which Paradox drew inspiration and of which it is child.
Viaemilia, already the most awarded Italian Pilsner in the world, receives the Bronze in the category of Hoppy Pilsener.
Last but not least, the summer seasonal White Riot wins its first prize ever with a Bronze medal in the Belgian-style Witbier category.
"We are honored of these results, which once again legitimize Birrificio del Ducato as true excellence in the art of brewing in Italy. The conquest of such important and authoritative titles, especially abroad, is a clear indication of the very high quality of our beers and the constant commitment that has distinguished our work for years.
